As a blended family for over a deca...Great article. As a blended family for over a decade, we have made many choices to reduce stress and increase family joy such as yours above. Family days are rarely most focused on the actual day, but the time we are together. We have given the children's other parents Christmas uninterrupted for nine years, because the stress of moving between two homes every holiday seemed unfair to the children. We in turn, have Easter every year.
